Executive Summary

Kuwezesha Wanawake, Vijana, na Wajasiliamali (KUWAVIWA) is an NGO based in Dar es Salaam that aims for capacity building for Women, Youth, Entrepreneurs, NGOs, members of VIKOBA, SACCOS, and other credit schemes/groups by empowering financial sustainability through training. It was established in 2024, with a registration under the Non-Governmental Organization Act, of 2002 with Registration number OONGO/R/6944

KUWAVIWA provides a range of Strengthening the Financial Sustainability of NGOs, Firms, Women, Youth, Entrepreneurs, members of VIKOBA, SACCOS, and other credit schemes/groups through Financial Management Capacity Building in Tanzania with the highest quality services based on the relevant professional standards, rules, regulations and agreed procedures.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • We Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of women, youth, and credit scheme members. These programs will equip them with the essential knowledge and skills in budgeting and financial management to make informed financial decisions.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with financial institutions, government bodies, experienced professionals, empowering organizations, educational institutions, and relevant associations. These partnerships will enrich the learning experience for participants and provide ongoing support for KUWAVIWA beneficiaries.
  • To contribute to the improvement of best practices in Financial Management (FM) for non governmental organizations (NGOs),Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith Based Organization (FBOs), and Social Enterprises in Tanzania in managing funds through the adoption of international accounting and reporting standards, where appropriate, thereby contributing to greater project efficiency, value for money, smoother flow of funds, more effective accounting and reporting arrangements, and better internal and external audit processes; hence, supporting increased development impact and results. With good financial management, NGOs will be able to ensure their sustainability, continuity, and success by meeting their financial goals and objectives while ensuring that the available resources are being utilized efficiently and effectively

  • Currently, tax is considered as an important part to be considered in the management of business because of rising up of new amendments done by the government during and at the of the year and many compliance requirements of which a failure to comply may lead to significant taxes, finesand penalties.

Our tax services includes;

–  Tax planning for the business, estimate of tax payable by individual and entities,
–  Conduct tax health check – An independent review of tax compliance
–  Compute annual income tax,
–  Prepare tax objections documents,
–  Prepare transfer pricing policy document,
–  Filling of tax returns ie. Income tax, withholding tax, Value Added Tax, Payroll taxes such as Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and Skills Development Levy (SDL),
–  Process the annual tax clearance certificate,
–  Liaise with TRA on behalf of the client on tax matters,

–  Provide assistance during tax audits and appeal,
–  Provide appropriate advice on certain transactions that attract tax,
–  Provide tax training,
–  Provide daily monitoring assistance to ensure compliance with all existing tax laws and regulations,
–  Other services that will be required by the Client within our capacity.
